North Haven School employs an Aboriginal Community Education Officer (ACEO) to support our young aboriginal learners and families and an Aboriginal Education Teacher (AET) to work with Aboriginal students in the development of their numeracy and literacy skills.
We believe in fostering a culturally safe environment for all students attending North Haven Primary School. We respect the strength, diversity, ownership and richness of Indigenous cultures and Custodianship of Country. We welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families to work in partnership with us - so that we can help build better futures for all of our students.
We respectfully acknowledge the traditional lands of Kaurna people and we pay respect to their spiritual relationship with their Country. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
